Claire; from the moment you adopted me on that first day in halls, Liverpool Uni 1993, to the last goodbye, your gentle soul, huge heart, humanity and understanding have shaped my life and helped to make me a better person. I will carry you with me always and share the future that your illness has prevented. How very fortunate I am to have had you in my life. Everybody, take comfort from my very clever class of 4-6 year olds who feel absolutely certain that Claire is in Heaven now, partying alongside some fantastic people and animals, whilst Jesus passes around the party food. Save me a peace of chocolate cake and I'll hopefully pop by in a few years. Alex xx
